Director, Sales

Responsibilities

• Drive, develop, and implement overall sales strategies and sales efforts for a designated group or business unit.
• Account for executing the business plan and managing revenue and costs for the sales division.
• Direct and manage the overall sales effort and sales productivity of specific regions, ensuring revenue, profitability, and market share goals are achieved.
• Direct the execution of strategic and tactical sales goals and plans.
• Review and approve sales productivity reports for groups.
• Develop, implement, and champion sales initiatives and programs that foster a competitive business advantage.
• Motivate and retain a qualified sales team.
• Implement systems to emphasize progressive sales skills in sales representatives.
• Drive aggressive growth sales strategies, including successful partnership creation and account planning.
• Institute disciplines of future account planning and new account development, focusing on both new environments and captured accounts.

• 10+ years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to navigate through complex organizational structures, systems, and processes.
• Ability to manage complex sales situations and build business alliances and relationships.
• Ability to formulate and manage business and sales strategy.
• Advanced contract management skills and experience.
• Extensive computer distribution industry knowledge and experience.
• Solid understanding of Sales Operations.
