Your Impact
The Membership Sales and Engagement Manager is responsible for growing and retaining World Trade Center Seattle membership while achieving annual membership, sponsorship, and revenue goals. This role develops new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, community engagement, and strategic partnerships, while managing the full membership lifecycle from lead generation and onboarding to renewals and upgrade.
This position serves as the primary relationship manager for members and prospective members, maintains accurate membership and sales data within the CRM system, and collaborates with marketing to increase awareness, engagement, and lead generation. The role also supports member advisory committees, promotes member organizations, and represents World Trade Center Seattle throughout the business and nonprofit communities.
The position exercises discretion and independent judgment in developing membership growth and retention strategies, prioritizing prospective member opportunities, recommending membership and sponsorship solutions, structuring proposals within established parameters, evaluating partnership opportunities, allocating approved marketing and programming resources, and resolving significant member-relations matters. The team member evaluates alternatives, makes recommendations to leadership, and implements approved strategies with limited day-to-day supervision.
Essential Duties
- Develop and execute the World Trade Center Seattle membership sales plan to achieve annual membership, sponsorship, and revenue goals.
- Independently evaluate and prioritize membership prospects based on strategic fit, revenue potential, engagement opportunity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Generate new membership opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, outreach, events, and community relationships.
- Manage the full membership sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, presentations, proposals, follow-up, closing, renewals, upgrades, and onboarding.
- Develop membership and sponsorship proposals and negotiate business terms within established authority and approved pricing parameters
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve established membership, sales, and revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue prospective members across businesses, nonprofits, associations, consulates, civic organizations, and key industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing members, business leaders, community organizations, and strategic partners.
- Design and continuously improve the full member journey, from personalized onboarding through ongoing engagement, creating memorable touchpoints that strengthen member satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain a strong understanding of WTC Seattle membership offerings, pricing, benefits, programs, and value proposition.
- Maintain accurate membership and sales data within the CRM including reporting on pipeline, sales activity, conversions, membership trends, and revenue.
- Analyze pipeline, conversion, retention, sponsorship, engagement, and revenue data and use findings to establish priorities and recommend corrective action.
