Business Development & Trading Associate

Ohata Shoji America Inc. is an electronics recycling and e-scrap company based in Seattle, Washington. Our parent company has nearly 30 years of industry experience in Japan, We also have a branch in Vancouver Canada. Our Seattle branch is focused on expanding our business throughout the North American market.

We are looking for a motivated Business Development & Trading Associate to help grow our purchasing and sales activities in the U.S. market and allover the world.

• Develop new suppliers and customers for electronic equipment, e-scrap, IT assets, and recyclable materials.
• Purchase materials and equipment from businesses, recyclers, brokers, and other suppliers.
• Sell available inventory and materials to domestic and international customers.
• Research market pricing and identify new purchasing and sales opportunities.
• Contact prospective customers and suppliers by phone, email and other channels.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing and basic transaction terms.
• Maintain and develop long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team regarding inventory, incoming materials, and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications, quotations, purchases, and sales.
• Assist management with developing new business opportunities in the North American market.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable developing business with new customers and suppliers.
• Basic computer skills, including email, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Good organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently in a small and growing team.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Previous experience in sales, purchasing, trading, business development, recycling, electronics, ITAD, or related industries
  .
• Knowledge of computers, servers, networking equipment, electronics, or recyclable commodities is a plus.
• Japanese or Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Experience working with international customers or suppliers is a plus.
