What you will be doing Requirements
  • BSME or BS Thermal Engineering, or related engineering discipline, with 8 years of experience supporting access hardware and/or Enterprise hardware products, 3+ years of industrial sales experience selling to the engineering community; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to engage with OEM engineering, design, and procurement teams to identify and translate technical requirements into commercial solutions.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components, product design-in processes, and industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and driving revenue growth within key accounts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface confidently with both technical and executive-level customer contacts.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer relationships and territory coverage.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Manage and drive successful growth of Southco Key Accounts as designated by Southco Management.
  • Meet with 15–20 contacts per week at designated key accounts; develop relationships with key contacts, including senior-level individuals; identify and target new business opportunities; and document all pertinent activity in  (SFDC).
  • Meet or exceed established market share and sales revenue performance targets for assigned Key Account customers.
  • Develop and implement an annual strategic business plan in accordance with Southco Management's goals and objectives, detailing business growth objectives relevant to all major Key Account programs.
  • Prepare and submit Monthly Overview summaries communicating significant field activities and progress on critical customer programs.
  • Use SFDC Activity Manager daily to plan, document, and execute business activities (meetings, calls, quotes, sample requests, etc.). Use SFDC Opportunity Manager to characterize key account opportunities and prepare periodic forecast updates, ensuring all existing and high/medium probability opportunities are captured. Maintain a minimum of 80% of Key Account business entered and updated in SFDC Opportunity Manager (goal package = 80%).
  • Communicate marketplace activity to Southco Product and Industry Management personnel; identify "value enablers" for designated Key Accounts and prepare proposals as required.
