Key Account Manager - Medical Device

Location:

Remote (Candidate's Must be located in Northern, California, Oregon or Washington State)

Compensation

$120-138k base plus quarterly bonuses

Scientific Search has partnered with a global medical device company who is seeking a Key Account Manager – Pacific Northwest to drive sales performance and expand adoption of their system across the Pacific Northwest. This role will develop and execute strategic account plans for key accounts, identify new business opportunities, strengthen referral networks and patient identification pathways, and build relationships with physicians, administrators, and clinical teams.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, self-directed sales professional with strong communication skills, healthcare or pharmaceutical sales experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support account growth and therapy expansion.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Performance & Territory Management
    • Drive sales performance and consistently achieve or exceed revenue and growth targets within the assigned territory.
    • Own and manage the assigned territory with a high level of autonomy, prioritizing accounts and resources to maximize business impact.
    • Proactively generate new business through account penetration, prospecting, expansion of existing accounts, therapy expansion, and new site activation.
    • Communicate regularly with management regarding territory performance, opportunities, challenges, and strategic needs.
  • Strategic Account Development
    • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key accounts, including IDNs, academic centers, specialty clinics, and OBLs.
    • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, administrators, and clinical teams, to support therapy adoption and expansion.
    • Develop and expand referral networks and patient identification pathways to increase appropriate utilization of the system.
    • Support territory- and account-level initiatives that drive business growth and enhance customer engagement.
  • Clinical Education & Therapy Adoption
    • Deliver clinical and product education to healthcare providers, ensuring appropriate understanding of indications, patient selection, and therapy benefits.
    • Stay current on clinical data, market trends, and the competitive landscape relevant.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Analytics
    • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical/Technical Support, Medical Affairs, Operations, and other internal teams to support account success and resolve barriers to therapy adoption.
    • Monitor account performance, patient flow, and territory trends; analyze data to identify growth opportunities and optimize strategy.
    • Maintain accurate and timely reporting, including account activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
    • Maintain complete and open lines of communication across personnel, functions, and departments to facilitate effective operations and organizational interaction.
  • Compliance & Professional Responsibilities
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and applicable federal and state laws.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and ongoing awareness of industry trends and compliance issues.
    • Maintain professional conduct, attendance, and high ethical standards in the workplace, complying with company policies and procedures.
    • Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable to the department and job duties.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Pharmacy or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of related experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical sales management or equivalent required.
  • Advanced strategic thinking, sales, and communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a dedicated, enthusiastic, and collaborative team member while operating as a self-starter.
  • Hemodialysis and/or apheresis experience preferred.
  • Experience with medical equipment and/or test equipment or instruments preferred.
