Description
Director of Clinical Research for Sarcoma, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, on the Clinical Scholar pathway, will be a full‑time faculty member jointly appointed at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington. The role is dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology.

- Expand clinical research initiatives specifically related to sarcoma.
- Lead Fred Hutch Sarcoma Clinical research operations and galvanize multidisciplinary translational research.
- Develop new research collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and national clinical trials.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships among researchers, staff, and stakeholders across the Cancer Consortium.
- Integrate trials across and between different stakeholders to streamline research activity.
- Educate and train researchers and trainees in sarcoma science and clinical practice.
- Create and advance a vision for the future of sarcoma treatment in collaboration with oncology leaders.
- Serve as an academic, clinical, and educational leader, organizing, directing, and expanding the clinical research efforts of the sarcoma team.
- Foster an environment that facilitates clinical and translational research.
- MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Board certification in medical oncology (or foreign equivalent).
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, clinical oversight of learners, and research mentorship.
- A primary research record focused on sarcoma and closely related conditions.

Annual base salary ranges from $315,000 to $400,000 depending on rank. The position is eligible for relocation assistance or a sign‑on bonus and may include an Administrative Supplement (ADS).
