Open Rank Faculty Position in Cancer Immunotherapy
The Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center (IIRC) of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a candidate with a lab‑based program focused on tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy with a strong vision toward clinical translation. Candidates at all academic ranks—Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor with a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent—are encouraged to apply.
The IIRC is a multi‑disciplinary center that brings together 83 faculty members in basic, translational, and clinical research to advance immunotherapy for disease, including cellular therapies, immune checkpoints, tumor microenvironment, and non‑viral gene editing. The center is at the forefront of translating laboratory discoveries into the clinic.
The successful candidate will have expertise in cancer immunology and be engaged in laboratory‑based research that could enable next‑generation therapies, fostering an environment of collaboration and productivity in cancer immunotherapy. A track record of peer‑reviewed publications in the cancer immunology field and success in obtaining extramural funding will be prioritized.
The position is at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute‑designated cancer center in Washington, providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases.

Salary ranges:
- PhD researchers: $183,585–$205,428 (Assistant), $205,707–$239,858 (Associate), $234,970–$363,282 (Professor).
- MD physician‑scientists with an active practice: $214,187–$343,181 (Assistant), $255,843–$396,745 (Associate), $287,056–$481,347 (Professor).
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications and may include relocation assistance and a sign‑on bonus.
