Security Guard

Overview Mirabella Seattle is hiring for a Security Guard! You will provide general security through observation and reporting for all community property in an effort to promote a safe and secure environment while maintaining a progressive customer service culture. What you'll be doing:

• Demonstrate that Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) Core Values—excellence, innovation, integrity, stewardship, compassion, and collaboration—are ingrained into all aspects of your role.
• Approach all interactions with residents, guests, and co‑workers in a gracious, attentive, and courteous manner while performing gatekeeper duties, screening and directing all visitors, vendors, contractors, and members of the public.
• Provide limited traffic control on community streets and in parking areas, check vehicle security during off‑hours, and conduct regular patrols—on foot or by vehicle—through all common and public areas to ensure safety and proper security functions.
• Monitor surveillance systems, fire alarms, and emergency call systems; respond to alarms promptly, elevate issues appropriately, and assist staff during resident or employee emergencies.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports, provide staff escorts during non‑regular business hours, and remain knowledgeable and calm when responding to emergency procedures.

Pay: $22.50 to $26.00 / hr DOE

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in building and grounds security or a related field.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems. Ability to communicate with government agencies such as Police and Fire department.
• Ability to fill out forms accurately.
• Formal training or experience in self‑defense methods.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and meet Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) Employment Driver Guidelines.
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, security software, video surveillance, and other relevant business applications.
