The Boeing Fire Department is seeking a Firefighter — Prevention Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA;
Auburn, WA;
Everett, WA or Renton, WA
.
The Boeing Fire Department is one of the country’s largest industrial fire departments. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment to employees and customers, support aircraft production and flight line activities, perform risk deduction inspections, and respond to emergencies at multiple Boeing sites.
PositionThis role participates in the fire prevention program. It is a Monday – Friday, 8-hour position, working on the first shift. There will be opportunities to advance to Firefighter or Fire Inspector based on obtaining the required certifications. A Firefighter physical/stress test is required, and travel off-site or out of state may be required for company business as needed.
Position Responsibilities- Duty will be assigned based on certifications and training
- Respond to and support emergencies involving company personnel, buildings, equipment and environment
- Provide emergency medical care, as needed
- Inspect fire protection systems and equipment
- Participate in hot work control activities
- Participate in fire protection system service requests and impairment activities
- Participate in training activities and instructional sessions
- Maintain required skills to ensure job proficiency
- Additional duties assigned by site Chief and Fire Prevention Captain
- Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Washington State driver’s license within 30 days of employment
- Current National Registry, Washington State, or other United States state Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Ability to apply for reciprocity within 30 days of your start date and obtain reciprocity within 6 months of your start date
- Ability to pass and maintain a Firefighter physical/stress test
- Experience as a full-time, part-time or volunteer Firefighter
- Experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment

Pay & Benefits: Boeing delivers a Total Rewards package including competitive base pay, variable compensation opportunities, and a range of benefits (health insurance, FSA/HSA, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off). Program options vary by location, hire date, and collective bargaining agreements. Pay is based on experience, qualifications, market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $25.00 – $42.77.
