Job Description
The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They use tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store’s physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink elimination culture.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries.
- Preserving evidence.
- Interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions.
- Reporting any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and minimizing risk of injury to self, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
- Demonstrating integrity at all times and responding to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates.
- Remaining focused on store‑specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
Asset Protection Specialist: $23.50 (per hour)

- Paid vacation:
Salaried associates eligible for 2 weeks in year one; FT hourly eligible for 40 hours after 6 months; PT 20 hours after 6 months;
Temporary not eligible. - Sick time (Washington State, Spokane, Tacoma):
Salary and temporary associates earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked; FT associates earn 1 hour for every 40 hours or 4 hours per month whichever greater; PT associates earn 1 hour for every 40 hours or 2 per month whichever greater. - Sick time (Seattle):
Salary and temporary associates earn 1 hour for every 30 hours worked; FT associates earn 1 hour for every 30 hours or 4 per month whichever greater; PT associates earn 1 hour for every 30 hours or 2 per month whichever greater.
