About the Role
We’re looking for a senior personal security leader to serve as the organizational backbone of a fast‑growing GSIS function. Reporting to the Head of protective services, this role sits at the intersection of corporate security expertise and program management craft. While the rest of the team is focused on day‑to‑day operational excellence, you’ll work behind the scenes building the policies, processes, systems, and metrics that let the function scale, and you’ll step in to drive time‑critical, cross‑functional projects when emergent needs don’t fit neatly into anyone’s existing lane.
This is not a coordination‑only role. You’ll need enough domain fluency to earn trust quickly with experienced security practitioners, enough program rigor to stand up new capabilities from zero, and enough pragmatism to know when a fast, imperfect answer beats a slow, polished one. Much of what you build will eventually hand off to operational owners — so a bias toward clean, documented, transferable work matters as much as speed.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the policy and procedure library across GSIS domains, including intelligence, executive protection, investigations, travel and event security, security technology, security operations, and crisis management ensuring coverage is complete, current, and aligned with company‑wide frameworks
- Stand up and own the GSIS metrics and reporting framework: operational health, open initiatives, emerging risks, and portfolio status, delivered in a way that gives leadership reliable visibility without manual assembly each time
- Stand up net‑new capabilities in response to emerging risks or strategic priorities; for each, build the operating model, training, and vendor/partner framework so that ownership can transfer cleanly to an operational team
- Act as intake and triage for high‑priority stakeholder requests that need GSIS involvement, resolving directly where you can, and routing with clear context when you can not
- Build and maintain audit‑ready documentation and control evidence to support regulatory, customer, and partner diligence requests
- Serve as project lead for cross‑functional GSIS initiatives that require significant coordination across Legal, IT, Facilities, People, Finance, and external vendors owning scope, timeline, stakeholder communication, and delivery end to end
- Have substantial program management experience in the corporate/physical security domain, you’ve run a personal security program or equivalent function inside a security organization and know what good looks like
- Have built personal security programs or capabilities from zero in a high‑growth environment, including all the supporting documentation, playbooks, and training
- Bring working fluency across multiple GSIS domains to include but not limited to: intelligence, executive protection, investigations, security technology, security operations, crisis management, travel and event security enough to engage credibly with practitioners in each
- Have developed policies, procedures, and audit‑ready documentation that held up under regulatory or customer scrutiny
- Write clearly and can translate complex security concepts into materials that land with both specialist and non‑specialist audiences
- Are comfortable operating with ambiguity, minimal direction, and priorities that shift as the situation develops
- Care about Anthropic’s mission and the unique security considerations that come with building frontier AI systems
- Have worked at an AI‑focused organization, frontier technology company, or similarly high‑growth, high‑scrutiny environment
- Have direct operational experience in one or more GSIS disciplines such as intelligence analysis, threat assessment, investigations, executive protection, or security operations center work
- Have supported an organization through external security audits, regulatory compliance examinations, or intensive customer/partner due diligence
- Have managed global security programs and third‑party security providers across multiple regions
