Job Description & How to Apply Below
As Poker Risk & Fraud Lead, you will lead the detection, investigation and mitigation of fraud, collusion, exploitation and gameplay abuse across the poker offering, from collusion rings, chip dumping and soft play to RTA, bots and account sharing. Working alongside payments, financial crime, KYC and account-security functions, you will develop detection strategies, drive tooling improvements and partner across operations, compliance, product and technology to keep the playing environment safe, sustainable and trusted.
It suits an experienced poker risk, fraud or game-integrity specialist who combines deep poker knowledge with strong analytical and investigative skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead investigations into suspected collusion, chip dumping, soft play, account sharing, ghosting, bot usage, Real-Time Assistance (RTA) and other forms of gameplay abuse.
* Develop and continuously refine collusion detection frameworks using behavioural analytics, gameplay telemetry, network mapping and statistical modelling.
* Identify, investigate and disrupt organised abuse groups and collusion rings operating across multiple poker formats and brands.
* Conduct population-level analysis to surface emerging integrity threats and evolving attack methods, and set clear evidence standards and enforcement thresholds.
* Evaluate risks to the poker ecosystem and recommend mitigation strategies to reduce financial exposure, including bonus-abuse leakage, while preserving game integrity.
* Design and enhance real-time and near real-time alerting, risk scoring, segmentation models and investigative workflows that prioritise cases by financial and reputational exposure.
* Define requirements for fraud detection tooling, intelligence platforms and integrity monitoring systems, partnering with Product, BI, Engineering and Data to deliver new detection and automation capabilities.
* Collaborate with Fraud Operations, Compliance, Payments, Security, Customer Support and Product teams on overlapping investigations, cross-brand intelligence sharing and enforcement.
* Provide subject-matter expertise during regulatory reviews and audits, and support the creation and review of poker integrity and enforcement policies.
* Mentor and develop analysts, review complex investigations and guide enforcement decisions.
* Produce regular reporting on caseload, financial impact, emerging risks and integrity trends for senior leadership, and contribute to strategy and roadmap for the Poker Risk & Fraud and Game Integrity functions.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in poker risk, fraud, game integrity, security or a related field within the online poker industry.
* Strong understanding of poker ecosystems, tournament structures, cash games, player behaviour and gameplay abuse methodologies.
* Demonstrable experience investigating collusion, chip dumping, soft play, bots, account sharing, RTA and organised abuse networks.
* Proficiency in data analysis, behavioural modelling, risk scoring, network analysis and fraud detection techniques.
* Experience with SQL, BI platforms, fraud tooling or analytical environments is advantageous.
* Awareness of modern technologies including AI-assisted gameplay, solver technologies, automation frameworks and device intelligence solutions.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to present findings to senior management and executives.
* Experience mentoring analysts and leading investigative work streams.
* A collaborative mindset, working effectively across operational, technical, compliance and commercial teams; a degree in a related discipline is preferred.
