Position:
Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Seattle, WA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication while bringing integrity, reliability, agility, and teamwork to every shift in a people-first culture.
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations, and communicate with supervisors and public agency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas for unusual behavior, policy violations, and maintenance issues, and report concerns through appropriate channels.
- Assist with directing the public, providing information, and supporting orderly operations during routine activities, service disruptions, and special events.
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
