Oatridge Security Group (OSG) is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a dedicated park patrol assignment in Seattle, Washington — at a premium pay rate of $28.00 per hour. This is an overnight post — 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 30 hours per week — that qualifies as full-time with full benefits eligibility.

You'll be the visible, professional presence that keeps a public park safe and secure through the night. No prior experience required — we provide the training and mentorship to launch your security career.

As the Park Patrol Security Officer, you'll conduct continuous walking patrols of a public park in Seattle, serving as the first line of defense against crime and misuse of the property. This is an outdoor overnight post (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM): expect to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in the elements, year-round, primarily during nighttime hours.

The client has set clear priorities for this site:

• Prevent camping, sleeping, and drug use in the park at all times, as well as loitering after dark
  .
• Prevent vandalism throughout the site — with special attention to the Amenities Building.
• Detect and deter crime using all five senses — including arson, theft (cables, tools, and equipment), graffiti, and other criminal activity.

This role calls for self-discipline, strong de-escalation skills, punctuality, and a solid work ethic. Unarmed Security Officers do not act as law enforcement and have no arrest or apprehension powers — violations are addressed verbally and from a safe distance, with police handling anything further. All candidates must pass an extensive background check and drug test.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather
• Prior military, law enforcement, or security guard experience is a plus — but not required

• Fluent spoken and written English — able to speak, read, write, and understand clearly
• Able to follow written rules, detailed post orders, instructions, and training materials
• Excellent customer service skills, over the phone and face to face

• Conduct continuous foot patrols of the park grounds, including the Amenities Building and surrounding areas
• Prevent camping, sleeping, drug use, and after-dark loitering on the property at all times
