About the Role
STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a qualified field technician for concrete repair and post‑tensioning work. This position is not suitable for applicants with only welding experience; there are no welding duties.
Responsibilities- Work alongside a Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks
- General concrete repair (demolition, rebar installation, carpentry, concrete pours, finishing)
- Operate power tools such as rotary hammers, chipping hammers, and hammer drills
- Post‑tension repair: rebar/post‑tension installation and stressing
- Travel independently between projects
- Focused on safety in all situations and environments
- Comfortable with the use of standard PPE at construction sites
- Team and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude
- Experienced construction field technicians or laborers
- Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs
- Good hand‑eye coordination and capable of standing for extended periods
- Motivated to work more than 40 hours per week
- English reading and speaking skills
- Comfortable working at heights
- Desire to grow and advance within the company
- Experience with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, placement/tying of rebar
- Experience with installation and/or stressing of post‑tensioning systems
- Familiarity with new construction and existing buildings
- Prior experience in post‑tensioning (ideal but not required)
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Union ironworkers or rod breakers able to work union or open‑shop projects preferred
Job Types: Full‑time, Contract, Temporary.
Schedule:
10‑hour shift or 8‑hour shift. Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour.
Location:
In‑person at Structural Technologies sites. Must provide own transportation, valid driver’s license, and pass DMV record screening. Pre‑employment drug screen required.
