Overview
Johnson Controls is hiring a Commissioning Technician to perform system commissioning, troubleshoot HVAC and controls issues, and provide customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
- Load system‑level controller software and perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
- Respond to basic warranty calls and provide solutions and outcomes to customers.
- Calibrate systems with electronic test equipment.
- Complete all required commissioning documentation and as‑built records.
- Communicate with contractors or customers regarding job progress and issues.
- Maintain administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation.
- Follow safety standards and attend required safety training.
- Provide recommendations and quotes to support facility efficiency and upselling opportunities.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail, effective communication, and listening skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Depending on location, mounting and terminating low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements.
- Two years’ experience installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.
Hourly rate: $24.52–$33.65, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and market data.
