Marine Electrician – Electrical Maintenance role supporting the SACSS program in Seattle, WA. Onsite position with no relocation assistance.
Responsibilities include:
- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits.
- Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment.
- Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems.
- Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Obtain necessary badges (DBIDS and shipyard).
- Work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes up to 75 lbs.
- Travel within and outside the continental United States – may be required up to 20% of the time.
- US citizen.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
Hourly rate range: approximately $29.84 – $40.38, subject to experience and location.
