Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer

Overview

The Army National Guard uses a wide range of systems that help protect and serve the force. As a Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Repairer, you’ll be in charge of ensuring those systems run at peak performance.

• Support the maintenance of chemical decontamination equipment and quartermaster machinery.
• Maintain laundry and bath equipment, pumps, engines, burners, filter units, and water purification units.
• Maintain special purpose equipment, decontamination and protective filter systems, smoke generator systems, and chemical electrical systems.
• Service internal combustion engine ignition/fuel/cooling/electrical systems.
• Perform damage assessment and repair.

Through training, you will develop skills applicable to civilian careers such as marine engine mechanic, commercial fishing, oil exploration, or oil drilling industries.

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.
