Job Title:

Structures Mechanic - Heavy Checks

We are seeking qualified Structures Mechanics for heavy checks and modifications on B737 and A330 aircraft. This role is based in a large MRO hangar and shops campus in Everett, WA. You will be involved in C checks, cabin modification projects, and various specialized tasks, ensuring efficiency and precision.

Responsibilities
  • Perform heavy interior modifications, including removing and reinstalling monuments without rework.
  • Modify and repair water/waste interface systems.
  • Accurately locate and install monument hard points on floor structures.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild component structures.
  • Repair and modify flight control surfaces and components.
  • Utilize special installation tools such as blind rivet guns.
  • Use OEM and Engineering drawings to modify aircraft structures.
  • Complete specialized tasks like flap peening and cold working.
  • Fabricate repair parts using special shop tooling such as brakes and stretchers.
Essential Skills
  • 4+ years of precision aircraft structures drilling and blind riveting experience in an MRO environment.
  • Experience with aircraft structures, installation, repair, tools, airframe, sheet metal, structural work, drilling, and riveting.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with heavy interior modifications and cabin reconfiguration.
  • Experience with heavy check or modification on Airbus aircraft and systems.
  • Familiarity with Airbus water/waste interface systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, hi-lok pliers, socket sets, bucking bars.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in heavy check hangars and shop areas, all indoors. The first week involves orientation and safety training, Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. Following orientation, shifts are assigned: 5 AM - 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM - 2 AM, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with typical availability of 10 to 20 hours of overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
