The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be a key part of the team responsible for the daily operations and upkeep of a multifamily community. This is a hands‑on, resident‑facing role where craftsmanship, urgency, and professionalism matter.
You’ll complete service requests, support preventative maintenance efforts, prepare apartment homes for new residents, and help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the property. Your work directly impacts the resident experience every day.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Quality Service: Complete service requests including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Maintain & Prepare Homes: Perform preventative maintenance and assist with unit turns—repairs, painting, inspections, and appliance checks—to ensure every home is move‑in ready.
- Respond with Urgency: Participate in after‑hours emergency on‑call rotation and address maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
- Protect Safety & Standards: Follow company policies, OSHA guidelines, and building codes to ensure all work is compliant and safe.
- Preserve Community Appearance: Support curb appeal through pressure washing, trash removal, minor landscaping, and general upkeep of common areas.
- Communicate Clearly: Provide updates to residents and team members, elevate concerns when needed, and contribute to seamless daily operations.
- Service technician experience (2+ years) with the ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
- EPA or HVAC certification
- CAMT certification
- Trade school or facilities maintenance training
- Bilingual communication skills
