Our Field Service Technicians serve as key points of contact between Airgas and customers, contributing to all project goals while installing, commissioning, maintaining, inspecting, testing, resolving technical challenges and repairing equipment at customer sites. They support the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of our products to the customer’s point of use.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, test, and inspect Airgas and/or customer‑owned liquid and gas equipment storage systems, including oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, helium, and carbon dioxide.
- Install, maintain, test, and inspect customer distribution and regulation systems, applications equipment, telemonitoring equipment, instrumentation, air compressors, and small on‑site nitrogen generation systems.
- Build alignment with outside service providers, customer service engineering, sales and distribution teams during installations and removals.
- Maintain proper use of company assets, record essential work performed, and compile billing information and total related costs.
- Perform work in compliance with established safety procedures while fostering positive customer relationships through appearance and operation of each installation.
- Travel throughout assigned territory (company vehicle provided).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment.
- Ability to be on call 24/7.
- 4+ years diagnostic and repair experience in cryogenics, high‑pressure piping, brazing, electrical circuits, refrigeration, PLCs, or process instrumentation.
- ASSE 6015/CGA M1 certification is a plus.
- Pay: $30 to $45 per hour, with quarterly bonus opportunity.
- Shift: Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday (4‑10 hr shift); on‑call hours required.
