Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $29.09 - $43.61/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Summary

FCSA is currently hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician to join our recently acquired company,
Corcoran Fleet Services
, to support our combined future growth. The Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections, light and follow‑up repairs, light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, licensed DOT inspections, and other duties as assigned at customer locations.

Responsibilities
  • Work on various light/medium duty vehicles such as F150, F250, and F350, including specialty equipment.
  • Travel 100% of the time to service multiple customers in your area and around the state.
  • Alternate schedule:
    Mon‑Fri the first week and Mon‑Sat the second week (home every day).
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light and medium vehicles in the field.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
  • Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, lifts, and jacks.
  • Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, clutch, differential, and other systems.
  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using scanners and pressure gauges.
  • Identify problems, determine the accuracy and relevance of information, and generate and evaluate alternatives.
  • Determine required parts, order, pick up, and install them.
  • Document work, upload pictures, and complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in cleanup at the end of each day.
  • Adhere to safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
  • Prioritize tasks, manage concurrent assignments, and communicate with corporate support for approvals and RO findings.
  • Participate in all required safety training and maintain assigned service vehicle with daily inspections.
  • Act with integrity, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
  • Maintain productivity and adhere to standard repair times.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Supply a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent.
  • Additional 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Participate in and complete all company required training.
