Position: Maritime NDT Trainees and NDT Techs - ATS Seattle, WA - Permanent

Maritime NDT Trainees and NDT Techs – Headquarters Seattle, WA – Permanent

ATS is seeking Maritime NDT Trainees and experienced Maritime NDT Techs to support our Seattle office. This role is open to entry‑level NDT Techs with formal NDT classroom hours and to experienced Level II NDT Techs (VT/PT/MT/UT & or RT). Candidates must be local to Seattle, WA or be willing to relocate. This is a permanent position with a pay range of $28 to $35+ per hour, depending on experience and certifications.

Qualifications

& Responsibilities
  • Support customers and projects in the field while being trained in Maritime NDT‑related work (Trainee) or conduct NDT in most methods (Level II Tech).
  • Collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain and report test results.
  • Complete reports and documentation as required.
  • Read technical documents and engineering specifications.
  • Follow precise directions and procedures.
  • Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adapt to an ever‑changing schedule.
  • Use computers for data entry.
  • Have a passport and TWIC in hand or the ability to obtain these documents promptly.

  • Learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pass a drug screen and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Be a “U.S. Person” (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylum seeker). Only U.S. Persons are considered due to ITAR‑related information access requirements.
Work Conditions
  • Wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man‑baskets, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces, requiring crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film‑developing chemicals, etc.
  • Shift up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
