Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
- Perform preventive maintenance repairs such as tire replacement/rotation and component lubrication, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to solve problems and comfortable using tools.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, and regulations established by Penske management.
- Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
- Maintain a current driver qualification file, including periodic MVR checks, DOT physical, and safety performance records; CDL holders required to pass a DOT drug screening.
- Willingness to work required schedule, location, and training travel; undergo background screening, drug screen, and physical.
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate required tools or controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- See and hear well enough to navigate the work environment safely.
- Lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly; occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
