Responsibilities
- Paints, stains, enamels, varnishes, lacquers and redecorates interior and exterior surfaces.
- Makes paint mixtures and matches colors to achieve desired finishes.
- Applies paint or coatings using cloth, brushes, sprayers, rollers, or sponges.
- Removes old finishes with scrapers, chemical compounds, or a blowtorch.
- Fills nail holes, joint gaps and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler.
- Replaces door or window glass when needed.
- Requisition s new painting supplies and equipment.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Experience- 1-3 years of related painting experience.
- Experience in marine painting and lagging per the NAVSEA Standard Item 009-11
Title:
Insulation and Lagging.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of related experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
