Dock Hand – General Laborer at Delta Marine, Seattle, WA.

Delta Marine is a yacht builder that has produced commercial fishing vessels and world‑class luxury yachts for over 50 years. The company values integrity, care for its employees, and excellence in design and construction.

Dock Hands work with boat lifts or cranes to lift large boats and yachts out of the water, perform pressure washes, and position and brace them for repair and maintenance. Dock Hands also reposition vessels as they are moved within the yard.

This is a very physical job. Dock Hands are constantly on the move while standing, crouching, walking, climbing, lifting and moving blocks. The work is performed outdoors in all types of weather.

Work hours:

7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

After 6 to 12 months, you may transition into a technical role on the refit team based on aptitude. Possible roles include marine carpentry, mechanical systems, fiberglass repair, metal work, tile and masonry, and mechanical work.

Wages: $21–$25 per hour.
