Cryogenic Service Technician
Location:
Denver, CO. Work schedule Monday through Friday with on‑call duties.
- Install and maintain cryogenic pressure vessels in industrial, medical, specialty gas and welding markets.
- Attend in‑house and external training to become proficient in working with bulk gas delivery systems serviced by Airgas Intermountain.
- Perform installation, preventative maintenance and repairs on bulk gas delivery systems manufactured or distributed by Airgas Intermountain.
- Safely operate an Airgas vehicle to complete work orders at customer locations.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, truck inventory and equipment to respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
- Travel as required, with expenses paid by Airgas. Overnight travel may be necessary.
- Deliver, install and maintain all cryogenic pressure vessels in the customer base.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks on a regularly scheduled basis of all cryogenic pressure vessels.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed to perform duties.
- Handle hazardous materials daily in a safe and approved manner.
- Install piping and final line regulator systems for medical and industrial applications.
- Set alarms for automatic emergency reserve systems of gases at hospitals.
- Install manifolds for use with high pressure gas cylinders.
- Install and maintain cryogenic pumps and drives to all branch locations.
- Conduct sight surveys at prospective customer locations to determine installation requirements.
- Install and maintain cryogenic pumping systems on delivery trucks.
- General mechanical skills with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and hand tool usage.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Experience with plumbing and the ability to use hand tools, both electrical and manual, in a safe manner.
- Ability to plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
Pay range: $28 - $30 per hour. Incentive pay: eligible for quarterly bonus program.
