The Role
The Field Service & Logistic Technician will conduct safe and efficient field service at customer sites, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and addressing safety issues. They will support seamless operations by staging service parts, managing inventory, and verifying shipments, while maintaining warehouse organization and accurate stock records.
Core Responsibilities- Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization

- Work independently when needed, usually under direct supervision
- Some travel required
- 5%–20% travel depending on division & location (overnight stays, away from home)
- Driver Application for Employment
- Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Driver Disclosure and Release
- Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement
- Copy of Driver’s License
- Copy of Medical Certificate (if applicable)
- HS diploma or equivalent
- CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements (HAZ is a plus)
- Or, capable of obtaining a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements (HAZ is a plus)
- Ability to obtain all required customer clearances as needed (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
- Ability to obtain DOT Medical card
- Clean driving record
- Work experience preferred
- 0–2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred
- Electrical, mechanical, diesel experience depending on business unit
- Work without direct supervision
- Technically sound
- Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices
- Must have customer service experience
- Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
- Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly
- Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve moderately complex problems often in novel and unexpected ways

CompensationThe estimated pay range for this position is $44,100 to $70,600. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location. Xylem offers a competitive compensation package with a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
