Handyman / Apartment Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman / Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, unit turns, and property upkeep. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in apartment maintenance, construction, or facilities maintenance who takes pride in delivering quality work and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Complete maintenance repairs in apartment homes and common areas
- Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general handyman tasks
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, appliances, locks, doors, and minor electrical issues
- Assist with renovations, remodels, and capital improvement projects
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance
- Maintain grounds, landscaping, and exterior appearance of properties
- Clean common areas and assist with trash and recycling management
- Document work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with vendors and property management teams
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs
- Maintain safe and organized work areas
- 2+ years of apartment maintenance, handyman, construction, or facilities maintenance experience
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Reliable transportation and valid Washington State driver's license
- Basic computer and communication skills
- Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform physical work indoors and outdoors
- Multifamily housing maintenance experience
- Washington State 07-B Residential Electrical Maintenance Certification
- Apartment maintenance or trade certifications
- Stable full-time schedule

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
