Inspect, test, and maintain locomotives and rolling stock equipment in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines;
Perform mechanical repairs to drive systems, wheels/wheel sets, suspension and other propulsion components;
Diagnose and test air systems and air brake equipment; calibrate pressure switches and valves;
Conduct preventative maintenance on locomotives; operate lifting/hoisting equipment;
Read mechanical drawings and use electrical tools and measurement devices as needed
