Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Marine Electrician role based in Seattle, WA. The Marine Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment on marine vessels and related facilities, including power distribution panels, control systems, lighting, and safety systems. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical schematics, performing diagnostic tests, ensuring compliance with marine and electrical codes, and documenting work performed.

The role involves working closely with engineering and project teams to support new builds, retrofits, and upgrades, as well as responding to service calls and performing preventive maintenance. The Marine Electrician will also maintain a safe work environment by following company safety procedures and industry best practices.

Qualifications
  • Strong background in Electrical Work, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of marine electrical systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with Electrical Equipment such as panels, switch gear, control systems, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Solid understanding of Electricity principles and Power Generation systems relevant to marine and industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with Navy or other maritime standards, practices, and shipboard environments is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and marine industry standards.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in electrical or marine systems; apprenticeship or journey‑level status is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work in confined spaces, and adapt to varying marine conditions.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and commitment to safe, high‑quality workmanship.
