Overview
Take on a key role at the heart of our operations by managing daily scheduling activities using a multi-line phone system and a computerized database. In this position, you will respond to Swedish Medical Center requests for interpreters, screen incoming requests for service eligibility, review daily unassigned requests, and assign them to the appropriate service providers. You’ll also help identify service gaps and offer customers clear guidance on the structure and service levels of Linguistic Services, including how to request or cancel interpreter services.
Responsibilities- Manage daily scheduling activities using a multi-line phone system and a computerized database.
- Respond to Swedish Medical Center requests for interpreters and screen requests for service eligibility.
- Review daily unassigned requests and assign them to the appropriate service providers.
- Identify service gaps and provide customers with clear guidance on Linguistic Services structure, service levels, and how to request or cancel interpreter services.
- Contribute to system improvements by providing feedback on software parameters and periodically evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of assignment processes, procedures, and guidelines.
- Recommend improvements to computerized and manual systems to enhance overall performance.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a scheduler/dispatcher or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds with sensitivity to cultural differences and concerns
- Associate's Degree in Social services, business, or related field
- Experience in a social service or medical environment; preferably related to providing interpreter services to the public or working with limited English-speaking populations
- Experience with contracts

The minimum and maximum wage rates are posted for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
