Position: Drug Diversion Court Housing Case Manager (Part-time)

DJA is seeking a part‑time housing case manager to work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team helping individuals with substance use disorder achieve stable housing, recovery from drugs and alcohol and dismissal of felony charges through successful program completion.

The Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) provides professional, high‑quality Superior Court record services and justice system programs, while ensuring access to justice and integrity in the process. King County Drug Diversion Court (Drug Diversion Court) is a criminal justice diversion program administered by DJA for adults charged with felony property and other drug‑related crimes.

The housing case manager provides housing case management services to participants of the Drug Diversion Court, works in partnership with contracted and community housing providers, assists with next step housing, manages Drug Diversion Court housing resources, and stays informed regarding local and federal housing policies and opportunities.

WORK LOCATION:

This position is based at the King County Courthouse located at 516 3rd Ave. Room E917, Seattle, but this position may be required to attend meetings or perform duties at the Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center, 401 4th Ave N., Kent, WA 98031, and travel to other areas of King County to attend meetings with housing providers.

There may be work associated with this position that may be partially performed remotely
. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a county worksite.

WORK SCHEDULE:

The regular workweek is 24 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility regarding the specific workdays. This position is overtime eligible.

Direct Housing Case Management:

Meeting with participants to determine housing needs, assist with next step housing and connect with resources, coordinating the housing waitlist, move‑ins and exits, and maintaining case notes in the electronic database.

Serve as a Member of the Multidisciplinary Drug Court Team:

Monitor participant progress, provide regular updates and well‑reasoned recommendations related to housing status and opportunities to the Drug Court team, and support the Drug Diversion Court's approach to accountability and empowerment.
