Responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day operations of the Elders Program, assisting with insurance enrollment and application, and connecting Elder Relatives to King County Social Services while providing exceptional customer service.

- Duties will all be towards the day-to-day operation of the Elders Program, and may include any of the following:
- Help with the opening and closing of the Program daily.
- Support daily program upkeep: refilling coffee, serving breakfast and lunch, clearing trash from tables, and assisting Elder Relatives with requests.
- Lead bi-weekly bingo.
- Assess and identify financial/insurance coverage with Elder Relatives, specifically for Medicare and Medicaid.
- Collaborate with Care Coordinators to assist relatives in obtaining medical care and scheduling appointments.
- Provide resources and refer Elder Relatives to King County Social Services as needed.
- Knowledge of medical center practices and procedures; familiarity with medical terminology and insurance coding.
- Computer skills and software aptitude.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Engage with community partners, attend site visits and Elders outings, and staff Elders events.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1+ year(s) of case management/social service work.
- 1+ year(s) of customer service experience.
- EPIC experience highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in American Indian/Alaska Native communities, preferably with Elders in that community.
- Ability to multi-task comfortably while working with a high degree of professionalism.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with Relatives and provide them with a positive experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Programs
- Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with varying levels of internal and external agencies.
- Ability to work independently and on a team with a professional demeanor.
- Functions well in stressful situations with the ability to de-escalate.
- Adaptable to implemented changes and able to follow processes and procedures.
- 2+ years using EPIC
