The Aspiring Youth Program provides social groups, and individual coaching for neurodiverse youth ages 8-18 who need extra support in navigating their social worlds. Our participants often have diagnoses including Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities, though no diagnosis is required for our programs. The Program Counselor provides direct supervision to participants in the groups. In addition, the program counselor may provide individual coaching to clients.
KeyJob Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision for clients in the social groups and/or individual coaching.
- Implement group games, art, theater, tabletop gaming and other experiential activities, based on applicant’s experience.
- Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries with clients, families, co-workers and community resources.
- Maintain case records in accordance with licensing, accreditation and agency requirements.
- Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences preferred.
- Two years of experience working with youth. Experience working with neurodiverse youth preferred.
- Valid Washington state driver's license.
