The Target Pay Range for this position is $26.00-$32.12 hourly. Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job‑related skills, experience, and education or training. In addition to salary, performance‑based incentives are available, with targets varying by role.

As a Member Consultant II, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and high‑quality member experience. Your expertise in BECU’s products will allow you to identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services when necessary. You will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving our members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services.
WHATYOU’LL DO Exceptional Member Experience and Sales Consultation
- Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
- Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center, ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled.
- Assist the community with financial wellness: financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources.
- Member Consultant: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour
- Pod Branches:
Lake City, Northgate, Ravenna - Location support based on business needs
- Rotation
Required:
Work across all POD branches for up to your first year or more – a core expectation of the role - One‑Year Commitment:
All Retail new hires are expected to remain in this role, POD, and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU - Training:
Includes travel to the Tukwila Financial Center - Travel Required:
Ability to commute between branches & training location is required - Flexibility
Required:
Schedules are typically given 30 days in advance but you may be asked to adapt to varying schedules and branch assignments based on business needs
- 12 weeks, Monday–Friday
- Flexible shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Flexible shifts between Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Up to 3 Saturdays per month: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
- Minimum two years of experience in a sales‑oriented, financial, or retail environment
- One year of experience in a financial institution
- Spanish language fluency highly desirable
- Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
- Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs; ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
- Ability to successfully complete 12‑week in‑house training program after hire
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with Members
- Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi‑tasking and peer coaching skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts
