Pay: $27.54/hour
Status: Regular Full-Time/Non-Exempt

The Shelter Supervisor is responsible for all supervisory responsibilities associated to front desk operations to include shift scheduling, timecards, and payroll preparation, reporting sick and vacation, ensuring staff trainings as assigned, ensures Standard Operating Procedures are followed, coordinates shift adjustments as needed in coordination with the Shelter Programs Director. This position is under direct supervision of the Shelter Program Manager and cooperates with the Program Director and King County Shelter Director.
This position receives daily supervision, with direct consultation available on complex matters. This position provides administrative support to the Department in addition to leading and assisting with the training and ongoing support of staff assigned.

- Under direct supervision and coordination with the Shelter Programs Director, duties will include responsibility for direct supervision of the Off‑Site Shelter Programs staff operational administration.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of emergency resources.
- Assists with the monitoring, evaluation, and facilitation of changes in operational and administrative programs to ensure compliance with policy, contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Assists as needed in hiring assuring adequate coverage of permanent, temporary, and on‑call shelter staff.
- Provide direct supervision and training for staff assigned.
- Attends and participates in all staff meetings.
- Conduct regular shelter program staff meetings as needed.
- Ability to conduct and oversee direct client services.
- Provide policy and procedure guidance to subordinate staff.
- Provide supportive care to residents experiencing personal crisis.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1‑year experience in public contact/customer service
- 1 year of relatable supervisory experience
- Demonstrates skilled training in basic Trauma‑Informed Care, Mental Health First Aide, and conflict resolution.
- Four months successful experience as a Salvation Army Shelter Monitor (or related experience).
- Washington State Driver's License required
