The Adult Services Division (ASD) is seeking qualified internal candidates for a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) opportunity to establish and support a new Provider Supports Team within the Community Investments and Provider Supports (CIPS) section.
The Provider Supports Team will serve as ASD's centralized resource for provider capacity building, technical assistance coordination, language access administration, provider learning and development, and provider readiness initiatives for the division. The team will play a key role in strengthening the Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) provider network and advancing equitable access to County funding opportunities.
The Provider Supports Specialist reports to the Provider Supports Lead and provides programmatic, operational, and administrative leadership for several provider-facing initiatives within the Community Investments and Provider Supports section.
The Specialist coordinates day-to-day administration of the Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) Technical Assistance and Capacity Building (TACB) program, Language Access program, provider training activities, and provider engagement initiatives. The position also supports planning and development of the VSHSL Provider Academy Pilot Program and assists with implementation activities supporting the SS7 Countywide Nonprofit Workforce Survey strategy.
This position regularly works with community-based organizations, technical assistance providers, consultants, language access vendors, procurement staff, contract managers, fiscal staff, and division leadership to strengthen provider capacity and improve provider access to County resources.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously, excels at building collaborative relationships, and is passionate about supporting nonprofit organizations that serve King County communities.

This selection process may also be used to create a pool of candidates for current and future career service, term-limited temporary, and special duty opportunities. This pool will be active for 6 months.
This is a Special Duty Assignment (SDA) position anticipated to end 24 months from the start date, but subject to change dependent on operational need.
