What You'll DoYou are someone who...
- Demonstrates pride, ownership, and accountability for your work, and expect the same from those you work with
- Shares opinions openly on what's working and what's not across the product, tech stack, and team processes
Works with cross-functional partners to solve business problems using data - Builds, maintains, and owns datasets that are accurate and simple
- Seeks feedback early and often in the development process
- Identifies speed vs quality tradeoffs and balances them judiciously
- Believes diverse teams make better decisions, and actively fosters a culture where every person can do their best work
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, or in a similar role with a focus on building data infrastructure for analytical or product purposes.
- Track record of enabling product teams to make decisions using data
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g. Snowflake), and data modeling concepts and tools (e.g. DBT)
- Proficiency in Python (or similar Object-Oriented Programming)
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and data ingestion processes
- Experience with implementing monitoring and alerting for data pipelines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
- You have prior experience with payments, accounting, or financial technology
- You have direct experience managing sensitive financial records
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and their data services (e.g. S3, Lambda)
- Knowledge of stream processing frameworks (e.g. Kafka)
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
