Sr. Software Development Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Software Development Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in Seattle, WA.

• Collaborate and solution with some of our biggest customers
• Work with data streams and APIs to provide enhanced automation capabilities
• Build tools to alleviate support bottlenecks
• Proactively monitor for improvement opportunities
• Enhance scalability and performance across the platform

• 5 years working in SaaS platforms & technologies
• An emphasis on back-end development (Java or PHP preferred)
• All the web basics covered – DOM, HTML5, CSS3 and Java Script
• Comfort working with SQL or No
  
  SQL data stores (MySQL, Postgres, Mongo
  
  DB)
• Experience with Docker or other container orchestration systems
• Experience with RESTful APIs or microservices
• Familiarity with Scrum / Agile Methodologies
• Solid understanding of version control systems (Git / SVN)
• Proficiency working with event streams or message queues (Kafka, Kinesis)
• Practical exposure to APM and monitoring tools (New Relic, Wavefront, Vivid Cortex)
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or equivalent.
