We’re looking for hands‑on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, virtualised infrastructure, and highly available storage services. As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software design and development for major components of the Storage Service Infrastructure. You should be both a rock‑solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the Control Plane stack and low‑level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions.

• 10+ years of experience delivering large‑scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi‑threading, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Extensive experience developing clean code in Java (or similar object‑oriented language), as well as scripting languages such as Python.
• Strong understanding of storage systems (block / object / file) and distributed persistence technologies.
• System design experience on designing complex distributed systems with ultra‑low latency and very high throughput.

Certain US customer or client‑facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunisation and occupational health mandates.

Hiring Range in USD from $96,800 – $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Flexible Vacation provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non‑overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week.
