DESCRIPTION:

As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers' businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions.

Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

AWS Supply Chain is seeking an exceptional Software Development Engineer to join our team within the AWS Solutions organization. We are building revolutionary enterprise applications that leverage Amazon's extensive operational expertise to help millions of companies worldwide manage their day-to-day supply chain operations. Our mission is to accelerate our customers' businesses through intuitive, differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring supply chain challenges.

We blend strategic vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions that make the 'buy versus build' decision a no-brainer for our customers.

Our team is at the forefront of an exciting initiative to build intelligent supply chain solutions for faster and smarter decisions through trusted and adaptive AI. We focus specifically on Inventory Intelligence and Supply Planning capabilities that help enterprises manage potential stock-outs and excess inventory for finished goods. Additionally, we're building Supply Planning Agents to elevate supply planning capabilities to new optimization levels, enabling businesses to balance inventory investments with targets while adapting to dynamic market conditions.

These solutions integrate with Demand Intelligence capabilities to create a comprehensive supply chain intelligence platform that reduces costs, improves operational efficiency, and enhances decision-making across entire supply networks.

As a key member of our team, you will develop advanced GenAI/Agentic AI solutions that help millions of companies worldwide optimize their supply chain operations. You'll be instrumental in building the Inventory Optimization Tools for AI Agents and advancing our Supply Planning Agent capabilities. We operate like a startup within AWS, offering you the opportunity to tackle unprecedented challenges at global scale while working with state-of-the-art technologies.

The ideal candidate brings strong software development experience, thrives in solving complex problems, and can mentor other engineers as we grow. If you're passionate about building intuitive, scalable solutions and want to shape the future of supply chain management while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we want to hear from you.

This role offers unique opportunities to innovate, influence architecture decisions, and make significant impacts through machine learning technologies, all while having the backing of AWS extensive resources.

Key job responsibilities
- Deal with ambiguity in solving a complex problem space that has not been tackled at this scale before.
- Work with other engineering teams who are aligned towards the same goal with many opportunities for cross-team influence, architecture, and collaboration.
- Build a customer facing product from the ground up and deliver it to market quickly.
- Be a key contributor in setting the teams technical direction, best practices, and plan for the years ahead
- Work closely with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to define the end product and customer experience and then implement it with best of breed web technologies and AWS services.
