As a member of the software engineering division, you will be defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. You will have to demonstrate the technical lead role. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 15+ years of software engineering or related experience.

As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will be called upon to lead major projects and have significant participation in design and architecture. You will be expected to act as a technical leader on your team and demonstrate core values for other more junior engineers. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low‑level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions.

You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

To succeed with these responsibilities will require:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years experience delivering storage systems.
• Cloud experience is a plus.
• Proven experience with a major Object Oriented Programming language such as Java or C++.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Very strong knowledge of databases, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
