Backend Software Engineer - Global E-commerce, Supply Chain and Logistics

Responsibilities

Global E-commerce is a content e-commerce business with international short video products as the carrier. It is committed to becoming the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products with affordable prices. The Global E-commerce business team hopes to provide users with more tailored and efficient consumption experiences, enabling merchants to receive reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, short video content e-commerce, so that more affordable and high‑quality products sell easily and a better life is within reach.

Our Supply Chain & Logistics team is a key pillar of the Global E-commerce business, responsible for the selection of goods, procurement, warehousing, inventory management and other business modules. It aims to improve customer experience with warehousing, supply chain & logistics technology, empowering merchants to simplify and expand their business worldwide with dependable and trustworthy fulfillment capabilities, so that affordable and high‑quality products are more accessible, contributing to an improved quality of life for consumers.

• Develop efficient, highly scalable and secure services to build/integrate Supply Chain & Logistics systems for domestic and global Tik Tok Shop e‑commerce.
• Optimize backend systems and services for data security, modularity, computational efficiency and scalability.
• Deliver best‑in‑class engineering excellence practices across all product engineering disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 1 year experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java, Go, Python, C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Delivery Technology, and/or Warehousing.
• Experience in e‑commerce and retail related fields.
• Experience in full‑stack development is a plus.
