Software Development Engineer (Frontend Focus) - AWS Identity and Access Management About the Team
At AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), we build and operate the authentication and authorization infrastructure that secures the AWS cloud. Our systems process tens of millions of transactions per second, making it one of the largest distributed systems globally. Role OverviewWe are seeking a Software Development Engineer with frontend expertise to develop and enhance user experiences across multiple AWS consoles. In this role, you will create intuitive, secure, and scalable frontend solutions that help customers manage access across their AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement frontend applications using Java and Java Script
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX designers to build user-friendly security management interfaces
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in application performance and security
- Contribute to architectural decisions for frontend systems at scale
- Implement and maintain frontend security best practices
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Java
- Experience building responsive, scalable web applications
- Understanding of modern frontend frameworks and web standards
- Knowledge of web security best practices
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills

Qualifications- 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
