As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the technical vision and innovation for Amazon AI at Work (AIW). You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver complex, end‑to‑end AI solutions, architecting and implementing robust systems in ambiguous problem spaces where both the business problem and solution approach must be defined. You will own the long‑term technical vision, product roadmaps, and technology direction, building consensus with stakeholders, scientists, and engineering peers across multiple teams, and providing strategic recommendations on system architecture and implementation to achieve transformative business outcomes and user experiences.

• Drive engineering strategy and set technical direction for AI initiatives.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end AI solutions.
• Architect and implement robust systems in ambiguous problem areas.
• Own the long‑term technical vision, product roadmaps, and technology evolution.
• Build consensus through thoughtful discussions with stakeholders, scientists, and engineering peers.
• Provide expertise to context current and future technology choices and recommend architecture and implementation approaches.

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Base salary range: US $ – $ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location and may include signing bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs).
