Senior Software Development Engineer - AWS Cryptography, Transport libraries

The Transport Libraries team within AWS Cryptography builds and maintains open‑source TLS and QUIC libraries (s2n‑tls, s2n‑quic) that protect data in transit across all of AWS. We're looking for an experienced software developer passionate about practical cryptography, open source, and building 'll work on post‑quantum cryptography, leverage GenAI to accelerate secure transitions, and help ensure every byte moving in and out of the cloud is protected.

- Own the full software development lifecycle — defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features for AWS Cryptography.
- Deliver foundational cryptographic libraries integrated across all AWS front‑door services.
- Engage internal and external customers to identify gaps in data‑in‑transit protection and translate those into new features and products.
- Build solutions at scale to protect cloud workloads against "harvest now, decrypt later" (HNDL) threats.
- Leverage GenAI technologies to safely and efficiently transition AWS services to post‑quantum cryptography.

Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
