Position Overview

Advanced Technologist (Data Analytics) – The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) seeks a Senior Full‑Stack Software Developer to develop and maintain full‑stack applications supporting manufacturing operations. The role is based in multiple locations including Seattle, WA;
Arlington, VA;
Huntsville, AL;
Mesa, AZ;
Ridley Park, PA; and St. Louis, MO. The developer will build a Manufacturing Application Suite that enables production teams to manage work statements, optimize labor charging, address non‑conformances, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
• Build highly scalable distributed solutions across the full stack to deliver positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
• Develop new features and infrastructure to support emerging business and project requirements.
• Lead new projects from conceptualization to deployment.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability while maintaining high standards for code quality and design.
• Architect and provide guidance on building end‑to‑end systems optimized for speed and scale.
• Engage with designers and front‑end engineers, and collaborate with back‑end engineers to create reliable APIs.
• Collaborate across time zones via Teams, Mattermost, Git Hub, documents, and video conferences.
• Influence, innovate, and continuously improve the software engineering process, quality, safety, and reliability of Boeing products and services.
• Collaborate proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations.
• Cultivate a positive team culture and motivation while resolving complex technical data issues in a regulated defense environment.

• 3+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment.
• 3+ years of experience writing software for data services.
• 3+ years of experience in full‑stack software development.

• 3+ years of experience building large‑scale web applications using React, Angular, or Vue.
• Demonstrated design and system thinking skills.
• 3+ years of experience in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, Type Script, SQL, Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with open‑source RDBMS and No
  
  SQL databases.
• Experience with container orchestration services, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git Hub and additional AWS tools and services (plus).
• 3+ years of experience in unit or integration testing.
• 3+ years of experience developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience in containerization (Docker, OCI).
• Experience collaborating on international and multinational projects.

The position may require up to 25% travel.

Competitive base pay ranging from $119,000 to $172,500, with variable compensation opportunities. Eligible employees are offered health insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time away from work. Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.

Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Basic relocation may be offered for eligible internal candidates.
