SQL and in‑memory database team will develop large‑scale, distributed in‑memory databases with sub‑millisecond latency. You will leverage open source technologies like Redis and Memcached as well as Amazon proprietary technologies to build a data plane that is extremely fast, provides high throughput, supports asynchronous messaging, event‑based architectures, real‑time failure detection, auto‑remediation, and disaster recovery. • Design, implement, and optimize distributed in‑memory database components for high performance and reliability.
• Develop low‑level optimizations, asynchronous messaging, event‑based systems, and real‑time failure detection mechanisms.
• Implement auto‑remediation features, horizontal and vertical scaling strategies, and high‑availability architectures.
• Build and maintain storage technologies, snapshotting, and disaster recovery processes.
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers across the team, ensuring best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Engage with business and technical partners to communicate progress, risks, and solutions.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience focusing on reliability and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

The base salary range for this position is  –  USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
