Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with Chrome
OS, Android, or ARCVM development environments.
Google's software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that connect billions of users across massive scale. As a software engineer on the Google Beam team you will build front‑end and back‑end experiences, work with Chrome
OS, Android, and ARCVM ecosystems, and collaborate with team members and third‑party vendors to deliver scalable communication features.
- Build the experience that powers the core meeting experience.
- Orchestrate communication between user‑facing applications and native client services (written in C++ and Go) to ensure low latency and high reliability.
- Bring experiences to life across Chrome
OS, Android, and ARCVM ecosystems. - Collaborate with the Google Meet team and third‑party meeting vendors to integrate Beam features into the broader ecosystem.
Salary range: $147,000–$211,000 base salary + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation details reflect base salary only. English proficiency is a requirement for all roles.
